SEATTLE BOAT SHOW FEATURES SEABREACHER Y ORCA BOAT
View the Seabreacher Y in action!

The Seattle Boat Show is excited to feature the new Seabreacher Y from Innespace Productions. This unique vessel is a submersible vessel designed to look like an Orca whale, reaching speeds up to 55mph with the ability of "jumping" as high as 16 feet.

The Seabreacher Y will be on display in the North Hall at CenturyLink Field.

The Seabreacher Y Orca design is the latest production from Innespace, which also produces the Seabreacher J, the Seabreacher X Shark design, and the Seabreacher Dolphin design.

This new killer whale vessel, which is similar in size and scale to the real thing, incorporates new Orca-inspired design features, including a more rounded off nose, large whale tail, new pectoral fins, and a taller dorsal fin. The new large rear tail was added to help the boat achieve a 180 degree back flip, which continues to be a goal for Innespace. The new Seabreacher Y comes standard with the 255hp supercharged engine found in the X model and offers the same high performance capabilities, but has the panoramic bubble canopy of the popular dolphin style J model.

Innespace designed the new Seabreacher Y with the primary intention of performing aquatic shows and displays, so the new vessel comes with riding pegs and grab handles to allow a trained stunt person to ride on the back and perform tricks similar to real whale-riding shows seen throughout the world. “The big advantage of riding one of Innespace's killer whales is there's no risk of being eaten by your ride!” says whale riding stunt man Jesse McNamara.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I buy one?
Yes, Innespace is currently selling custom built versions of the Seabreacher for public sale. Each vessel is built to order. No production units are available for immediate purchase.

How much do they cost?
Price starts at US$ 65,000 for a standard J model, and the X model (which is the very high performance, heavily customized version) starts at US$ 81,000. Because each Seabreacher is custom built to order, we can accomodate almost any special requests, from intricate airbrushed paint schemes to personalized interior treatments.

How deep can they dive?
About 5 feet for brief durations but generally they go just a few feet below the surface in order to keep the snorkel above the water.

How fast can they go?
40 mph on the surface, and up to 20mph under water. The X model is capable of 50mph on the surface and up to 25mph under water!

How long does it take to learn to operate?
It is surprisingly quick to pick up the basic operation of the Seabreacher and learn to navigate on the surface. Prolonged dives and other tricks take a little longer to master, but most pilots are proficient in a couple of days.

What happens if I dive too deep?
Because the Seabreacher is positively buoyant, it needs speed in order to dive, which means the engine needs to be running, and the engine needs fresh air to breathe. The moment you dive too deep, the engine's air supply is cut off and the engine immediately loses power; therefore, it pops back to the surface. Sometimes it will pop up backwards if you try and dive too deep and too steep.
