WINE DOWN AT UNCORKED! THE SEATTLE BOAT SHOW'S OPENING NIGHT EVENT, JANUARY 25

Chardonnay and a Cobalt. Sauvignon Blanc and a SeaRay. Merlot and a Malibu. What do these unusual pairings have in common? They will all be available at Uncorked, Seattle Boat Show’s new Opening Night event at CenturyLink Field Event Center on Friday January 25th, 2013. For the first time in the show’s 66 year history, showgoers will be able to sniff, swirl and sip their way through the Boat Show, tasting a variety of award-winning Washington wines, while soaking in the show and shopping for the boat of their dreams or wandering the three acres of accessories exhibits.  And if that weren’t enough to make for a fabulous, fun evening, there’s also an aerial, acrobatic show to add to the mix.

Wine Lineup
The Seattle Boat Show opens at 11am on January 25th, and Uncorked, presented by Falvey Yacht Insurance, runs 5-9pm.  Nine tasting stations will be set up throughout the indoor location at CenturyLink Field, offering wines from 10 different Washington wineries. Wineries include Apex, Canoe Ridge, House Wine, Sagelands, Sawtooth, Waterbrook and Willow Crest.  Winery representatives will be on hand to answer questions about the wines.

Additional great news for showgoers and wine lovers: Waterbrook is the Official Wine of the Seattle Boat Show and Waterbrook wines will be available for purchase throughout the Show at concessions and the full bar and lounge located on the Concourse Level at CenturyLink Field.

Packages for Uncorked may be purchased online for $27 at www.SeattleBoatShow.com.  This price includes a single adult admission to the show valid throughout the day at both locations, plus a complimentary souvenir wine glass and 10 wine tasting tokens. Tickets for Uncorked will also be available at the Box Office.

Splash Lineup: The Triple Trapeze Quartet, Mermaid on Cloud Swing, Drunken Sailor
Adding to the opening night fun and festivities will be the inaugural performance of “Splash’ at 7pm. Splash is the Seattle Boat Show’s new aerial, acrobatic show soaring high above the boats indoors at CenturyLink Field. The nautical-themed performance features some of Seattle’s most talented aerialists and acrobats doing Cirque du Soleil-style aerial work and will be performed on a Corde Lisse (or rope),  a Cloud Swing and a Triple Trapeze.  There won’t be a bad seat in the house as all the boats in the West Hall will serve as viewing platforms as will the Boater’s Lounge on the mezzanine level. Splash performances are not limited to Opening Night and will be will also be held Monday –Thursday at 6:30 pm, Fridays at 7:00 pm and Saturdays and Sunday, January 27th at 3:00 pm. No performance will be held on Sunday, February 3rd. Learn more about the Splash performances and performers at: http://www.seattleboatshow.com/splash-show.html
